Hey Reader, Thank you so much for the terrific feedback you provided last week on my new newsletter format! I got some really terrific ideas moving forward and am really excited to make this weekly email newsletter your one stop shop for homemaking resources π₯³ The biggest feedback I got was that while you liked the streamlined links and ease of finding everything, you missed the personal touches, pictures, and stories. So I'm bringing that back! Firstly starting with our Mr. Radley who turned 2 months old yesterday. I have no idea where the past 2 months went and also, he's been part of our family forever right? Thankfully he's been sleeping super well during the night but very fussy during the day. We are working on some tummy issues and a possible lip/tongue tie that we are getting a consult for soon. Over on Instagram, we've been discussing groceries, food budgets, and feeding your family well. Over the next few weeks I'll be diving into even more of these topics, so you should hop over and join. I've got a highlight started called GROCERIES/KITCHEN if you want to quickly catch up on what we've been discussing so far. I've been asking my IG audience for their input and tips and we've gotten into some really good discussions so far. If you need any help in the kitchen, hop over to IG and join us! Now, without further ado, here's my new streamlined newsletter with all our goings on! β π§ ON THE PODCAST π§ βWhat Iβm learning in this season for time management β S4, E11 βOur 1000 hours outside & what we are learning β S4, E10 βSimplifying & minimizing practically with a large family - S4, E9 We will be launching a new series on the show soon called βFamily Chats.β Jason will be joining me during that series and we will tackle important family topics. β π WHAT IβM READING π βEmbracing Rhythms of Work and Rest: From Sabbath to Sabbatical and Back Again - 3 βοΈ There were definitely a few good encouraging nuggets in this book. For example, she insists that we must learn to trust the Lord better with taking times off for rest and I so agree! But at the same time, the author and I do not align theologically even a little bit and that really starts to come out later in the book (as she gets into the pandemic and BLM stuff). Overall there were some good practical tidbits but not a lot of Scripture to back up why. I listened to the audiobook on Everand. βThe Search for God and Guinness - 4.5 βοΈ I love a good biography from an author who really knows how to dig into history and share a good story. The Guinness company is a long standing Dublin company that was very Christian throughout it's history. It's amazing to hear how they care for their employees and did things no other companies were doing (like hiring on staff doctors, providing vacations for the worker's entire family, and providing cooking and motherhood classes for young women and wives). Every Christian entrepreneur needs to read this as we shape Christian companies in the future! β π₯ 7 DAY FREE TRIAL OF THE JOYFUL HOME!! π₯ HUGE NEWS!!! Hey Reader, Itβs been two long years since Iβve been able to grow a garden. Life shifted in big ways during that season. We relocated to North Carolina, and for a while I didnβt even have a yard, just a moving target and a lot of transition. Gardening simply wasnβt possible. And while that season held good things, I missed the soil deeply. Now, though, everything has changed. Weβre on three-quarters of an acre. Itβs flat. Itβs usable. And my backyard is absolutely begging for a garden. Every...
Before we dive into today's new blog post, I wanted to get your feedback real quick. This is my second week of being back to blogging (YAY) and sending out my blog posts as emails. Are you liking this new format? Are you excited to read blogs again? And if so, what topics would you like me to cover in my blog or on the podcast? Hit reply and let me know :) I love getting to hear from you! And if you don't want to get the semi-daily blog posts, but would rather just get my weekly round up...
Hey Reader, Over the past three months, weβve intentionally pulled back in our businessβnot because things were failing, but because we wanted to do the opposite. Weβve been refining, pruning, and rebuilding behind the scenes so that Finding Joy in Your Home can be stronger, more robust, and running far more smoothly as we head into 2026. The last two years have been quite the journey of reshaping, and we are so grateful for Godβs provision through every step. There are some big things in...
